A few years ago, we set about finding the right premises for our advertising business. Theo and Steve not only found those premises, but then gutted, re-built and renovated what many see as some of the best creative space in Adelaide. Already, they’ve been the backdrop of photolibrary shoots, become the envy of competitors and a productive and inspirational workspace for our team.

In August 2004, DMG Radio Australia (the owners of NOVA 91.9 and 5AA) moved into 75 Hindmarsh Square, Adelaide. Theo Maras AM helped facilitate contract negotiation, planning approval and individual floor preparation in a professional and timely manner.

Constructing radio studios carries a greater degree of difficulty than an average office fit out. We found Theo’s ability to communicate effectively, and react quickly to help solve base building related issues, went a long way in enabling us to meet our very tight deadlines.

Theo Maras’ sterling leadership of the Rundle Mall Management Authority Board has seen significant improvements to the marketing, communications and brand equity of Rundle Mall, which has in turn increased customer traffic. Theo has also been a fierce advocate for the precinct with the media, Council, State Government and other stakeholders. He provided exceptional leadership and guidance through the detailed design process and construction phases of the Rundle Mall redevelopment.

On behalf of the Australia Council for the Arts, please accept my congratulations on winning the Woodside Better Business Award in the National Australia Business Arts Foundation Awards for 2012. Your contribution to the arts in Australia is deeply appreciated Steve.

Calibre was one of the first brands to embrace the vision the Maras Group had for the East End of Rundle Street. Like the Maras Group, we felt the demand for quality food and fashion in a boutique environment was not being satisfied by existing areas of Adelaide.

The Maras Group had the assets and importantly the vision to ensure their tenant mix was correct to now create a fantastic precinct of fine clothes and food for the people of Adelaide to enjoy. We are pleased the vision has become reality and this highlights their proactive approach to working with tenants to facilitate the creation of better retail environments.
